Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (Alexander’s Fourth Week at Conservatory)

9/21/13 – Week Four.  This week at Conservatory, the first thing we did is sit down in a big circle.  We went around the circle and described what we were feeling in one word.  I chose supercalifragilisticexpialidocious which described that I felt excited and happy.  Next, we played a game called Ghost.  First, you stand in your own space, in actors neutral, where your feet are shoulder length apart.  We closed our eyes and someone came to stand near us silently.  If you sense them standing there, you call out “Ghost!”  Then, you become the ghost.  The purpose of the game was to pay careful attention, using all of your senses except taste :), touch, and sight.  After break, we went on a journey through our imagination, going through a black room to a daisy patch.  Then, we had to write a lot about it.  We did this because we’re doing a play about the human body and today we wanted to focus on how the mind works.  We will probably use what we wrote for the play.  Join me next time for exclusive interviews with other members of the exciting Conservatory 2A!
